Emerging RFID Technologies and Applications

RFIDs are becoming pervasive in new undiscovered fields of applications thanks to the use of novel materials, fabrication technologies as well as the adoption of customized circuits techniques able to extend tag capabilities in terms of operation range or battery autonomy. This session will host the latest results in emerging RFIDs technologies, design and applications with a special focus on circuit solutions able to enable tags in novel environments.

Specific topics will include:

• Printed, organic and flexible electronics for RFIDs
• Advanced circuit techniques for customized RFIDs
• Chip design for RFIDs in special applications
• Energy harvesting techniques and circuits for longlife RFIDs
