How to reach Pisa
by plane: the main airport of Pisa is the Galileo Galilei Airport located close to the city center (about 3.5 km). It caters to both national and international cities on a weekly basis and lot of low cost flights. It is mainly served by Ryanair flights.
Taxis are readily available at the airport and can take you to the city. During the day, you can also take the Bus line 5 to the river Arno or, by night, the Bus line 21. Moreover, the train shuttle Pisamover brings you to the Pisa Central Station in just 3 minutes.

If you arrive at the Florence International airport we suggest taking a train from the main railway station in Florence (Firenze Santa Maria Novella) to Pisa Central Station. There are trains every 30 minutes and the average traveling time of 1 hour.
by train: the main railway station in Pisa is Pisa Centrale, which is 5 minutes walking distance away from the city center. It connects to the city of Florence (around 1 hour of traveling time), which is the closest high-speed rail stop in Italy (Frecciarossa or Italo trains).
